Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern the use of withphilippa.com and the booking of services provided by Philippa Marion Howearth, trading as "With Philippa" ("we", "us", "our"), including Bridal Hair & Makeup, Special Occasion Makeup, Hairstyling, The Full Look (Hair & Makeup), Branding & Commercial artistry, and Business Mentoring services (1:1 Mentoring, The Signature Program, and Group Mentoring).

By booking a service or using this website, you ("client") agree to these Terms.

1. Bookings & Enquiries

  • All bookings are confirmed via our online booking system, direct enquiry, or email, and are subject to availability.

  • A non-refundable deposit of [e.g. 30%] of the total service fee is required to secure your booking date. The remaining balance is due [e.g. 7 days before / on the day of] your appointment.

  • For bridal bookings, a signed booking agreement and deposit are required to confirm your wedding date exclusively for you.

  • Prices listed on our booking page are current at time of publishing and may change; the price confirmed at the time of your booking will be honoured.

 

2. Payment

  • We accept payment via the methods listed at checkout, including card payment and Afterpay for eligible services.

  • Afterpay and other third-party payment providers have their own terms and conditions, which apply in addition to ours.

  • Travel fees apply for mobile bookings outside our standard service area, and will be quoted and agreed prior to booking confirmation.

  • For destination and international weddings, additional costs (flights, accommodation, and travel days) are quoted separately and form part of the booking agreement.

 

3. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • Cancellations made more than [e.g. 14 days] before your appointment may reschedule to another available date, subject to availability, at no additional fee.

  • Cancellations made within [e.g. 14 days] of the appointment will forfeit the deposit, and the remaining balance may still be payable depending on notice given.

  • In the rare event we must cancel due to illness or emergency, we will make every reasonable effort to arrange a suitable replacement artist or offer a full refund.

  • No-shows or same-day cancellations are charged in full.

 

4. Trials

  • Bridal trials are booked and paid separately from the wedding day service, unless otherwise stated in your package.

  • We recommend booking your trial within a reasonable window of your wedding date to ensure your desired look is finalised in time.

 

5. Health, Skin & Patch Testing

  • Clients are responsible for disclosing any known allergies, skin conditions, or sensitivities prior to their appointment.

  • We recommend a patch test at least 48 hours prior to your appointment if you have sensitive skin or known allergies, or are trying a new product for the first time. Patch tests can be arranged on request.

  • We are not liable for allergic reactions where a client has not disclosed a known allergy or sensitivity, or declined a recommended patch test.

  • We reserve the right to decline services where doing so is necessary for your health and safety (e.g. active skin infection, eye conditions).

 

6. On the Day

  • Please ensure skin is clean and, where possible, freshly moisturised prior to your appointment (unless otherwise instructed).

  • Late arrivals may result in a shortened service to accommodate other bookings, at the artist's discretion, with no reduction in fee.

  • A clean, well-lit space with access to a power outlet and seating is appreciated for mobile bookings.

 

7. Photography & Image Use

  • We may take photos or videos of your hair and makeup during your appointment for portfolio, marketing, and social media purposes.

  • We will always seek your consent before publishing identifiable images publicly. You're welcome to let us know at any time if you'd prefer your images not be shared.

  • Clients may not use images taken by us for commercial purposes without permission.

 

8. Liability

  • While we take the utmost care in providing our services, we do not accept liability for allergic reactions, skin irritation, or dissatisfaction with a look that reasonably matches what was discussed and agreed at your trial or consultation.

  • We are not liable for delays or service issues caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control (traffic, weather, venue access issues, illness, or other emergencies).

  • Our total liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount paid for that service.

 

9. Business Mentoring Services

For clients of 1:1 Mentoring, The Signature Program, or Group Mentoring:

  • These are educational and coaching services. We do not guarantee specific income, client bookings, or business outcomes, as results depend on individual effort, market conditions, and circumstances outside our control.

  • All program materials, frameworks, templates, and content are the intellectual property of Philippa Marion and may not be copied, resold, shared, or redistributed without written permission.

  • Refunds for mentoring programs are considered on a case-by-case basis in accordance with the refund policy provided at the time of purchase, and in line with Australian Consumer Law.

  • Confidentiality: information shared by mentoring clients during sessions is kept private and is not shared outside the mentoring relationship, save as required by law.

 

10. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including images, text, and branding, is owned by Philippa Marion unless otherwise credited, and may not be reproduced without permission.

 

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland, without limiting a client's rights under Australian Consumer Law.

 

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time of your booking will apply to that booking.
